I spent 4 months back in Hawaii building a rental house, hanging with friends and avoiding the NZ winter. Now I'm back in Opua.

February 2004:
NZ's South Island. We rented a camper with some friends and drove all over the south island. The scenery is the most beautiful I've ever seen.

Work in progress. So far we've rebuilt the engine, added jib furling, had new sails made and remodeled the head, among other things.

November 2003:
We've bought Tess, a 41' Rhodes Bounty 2, and are starting the process of fitting her out. Her previous owners sailed her to New Zealand from Boston. She is a US documented vessel.
